Paper Rug Weaving Loom Template
Use this printable loom template to help students learn to “weave” a paper rug. This loom is great way to teach pattern and the design principles of repetition and variation. Students will fold the paper along the bolded black line and cut along the dotted lines. They will then weave strips of paper through the white loom and glue the ends down. Go a step further by drawing alternating shape patterns in the squares. Show examples of Navajo weaving to integrate this lesson with elementary Social Studies.
